We are a design-build firm located just outside of Elmira, Ontario in Waterloo Region, creating custom playground sculptures and structures that bring brilliant playground concepts to life. Our award-winning team is seeking a skilled Vehicle Operations Coordinator to join our crew and contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional outdoor spaces.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the maintenance, organization, and efficient operation of our company's fleet and equipment. This includes developing and implementing a comprehensive vehicle management system, scheduling maintenance, tracking repairs, managing registrations and insurance, and ensuring compliance with all relevant Canadian regulations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring CVR requirements are met and adhered to for our team of drivers, including ensuring checks are complete and supporting any issues quickly.
  • Monitoring the Geotab risk and providing feedback to drivers on their habits and driving safety.
  • Designing and implementing a digital system for tracking vehicle and equipment maintenance, repairs, registrations, insurance, fuel consumption, and other key metrics.
  • Developing and managing a preventative maintenance schedule for all vehicles and equipment, ensuring timely service and minimizing downtime.
  • Overseeing all vehicle and equipment repairs, ensuring quality workmanship and cost-effectiveness, including diagnosing problems and tracking repair progress.
  • Maintaining current vehicle registrations and insurance policies while ensuring compliance with all relevant Canadian regulations.
  • Tracking fuel consumption and identifying opportunities for fuel efficiency improvements.
  • Managing an inventory of commonly used parts and supplies for quick repairs and maintenance.
  • Providing support to drivers regarding vehicle issues, maintenance schedules, and company policies.
  • Maintaining accurate records of all fleet-related activities, including maintenance logs, repair orders, and inspection reports.
  • Ensuring compliance with all federal, provincial, and municipal regulations related to commercial vehicles in Canada.
