About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned executive to join our team as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Teranet Inc. This pivotal role requires a visionary leader who can shape and lead our comprehensive information security strategy, ensuring that our information assets and data are safeguarded against evolving cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversight of Teranet's Information Security Program, including strategic design, development, implementation, configuration, and support of technical security mechanisms.
  • Definition and establishment of policies aligned with our goals to protect information assets and data, covering applications, systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Establishment of enterprise protections aligned with our risk appetite and compliance obligations, including PCI, SOC 2, HIPAA, and privacy regulations.
First Year Priorities
  • Develop a deep understanding of our business and successfully integrate into the leadership team.
  • Develop strong knowledge of regulatory environments and requirements affecting cybersecurity strategies.
  • Assess our current security posture, programs, and policies across the enterprise and subsidiaries.
  • Review, assess, and finalize our holistic information cybersecurity strategy for the enterprise.
  • Ensure all programs currently in flight are completed.
RequirementsBusiness Acumen

The ideal candidate has experience defining and leading a holistic information security strategy across a complex organization, with a proven history of developing information security policies and procedures for a growing, complex organization.

Proven Leadership Experience

The individual should have:

  • A consultative, business-focused approach and highly effective collaboration skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience in creating and interpreting a strategic vision into an operational model.
  • Able to assess risk, compare risk of alternatives, and balance risks and potential business benefits.
  • Well-developed people leadership skills and substantial leadership experience.
  • Experience establishing credibility, confidence, and earning trust.
  • Politically savvy and diplomatic, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Qualifications & Education
  • Minimum of a University Degree in Computer Science, Technology, and/or Business Administration.
  • Relevant certification in Information Security field or acceptable combination of academic credentials and professional experience.
  • 10-15+ years of related work experience.
  • Demonstrable experience in developing strategic and business plans.
  • 5+ years of executive management experience in IT Security.
  • 5+ years leading investigations and managing incidents.
Estimated Salary

$150,000 - $200,000 per year, depending on experience.
