About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our dynamic and growing mineral processing team in Mississauga, ON. As a key member of our global team, you will be responsible for supporting the Project Manager to ensure the quality of output is delivered by the project team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure output is aligned with the needs of project / study, the company objectives and client requirements
  • Support and provide technical competence in the delivery of projects and studies
  • Follow project specific and company procedures, work practices, plans and protocols to efficiently and consistently provide a high standard of work
  • Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support
  • Assembly of scope of work packages to support procurement and construction activities as required
  • Provide leadership, guidance and mentoring within the project engineering team
Requirements
  • A degree and/or Post-Graduate qualification in Engineering, preference for Mechanical will be given
  • 7+ years post graduate experience in the minerals processing sector
  • Proven experience in EPC and EPCM environments, preferably in gold and base metals
  • Highly developed people and relationship skills with demonstrated ability to work in a multidiscipline professional team environment communicating and motivating effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrate understanding and awareness of project implementation, constructability, OH&S, environmental, community and industrial relations issues
  • Ability to effectively communicate both written and orally
  • Detail oriented with the ability to act independently to complete tasks accurately and effectively
