About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team at AutoCapital Canada. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust data pipelines and ETL processes for efficient extraction, transformation, and loading of large-scale datasets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement data pipelines and ETL processes to ensure data quality and consistency.
  • Utilize advancements in big data and cloud computing technologies to enhance data processing and ETL capabilities.
  • Perform database administration tasks, including monitoring, maintenance, and optimization of database performance.
  • Define and manage database schemas to ensure structured and efficient data storage and retrieval.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in SQL for performing operations on data.
  • Work with Data Lakehouse environments to manage data storage, access, and ETL operations.
  • Leverage DataBricks or Apache Spark or Apache Airflow platform for big data processing, analytics, and ETL task management.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in data engineering with a strong focus on ETL processes.
  • Strong knowledge of big data technologies, cloud computing platforms, and ETL tools.
  • Expertise in database administration and ETL schema management.
  • Proficiency in SQL and extensive experience with ETL operations.
  • Familiarity with Data Lakehouse concepts, operations, and ETL integration.
  • Experience with DataBricks or similar big data processing and ETL platforms.
