As a key member of our technical services team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, design, and implementation of municipal infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of professional engineers and technical staff.
  • Oversee the work of multi-disciplinary consultants and contractors.
  • Develop and implement corporate policies related to technical services.
  • Liaise with Public Works on technical issues.
  • Manage and coordinate engineering projects.
  • Acquire goods and services in accordance with Municipal purchasing policies.
  • Review and approve contract and tender documents.
  • Supervise capital works projects.
  • Coordinate with utility companies and regulatory authorities.
  • Assist in preparing and revising the Municipal Asset Management Plan.
  • Review and recommend approval for designs and construction of projects.
  • Collaborate with other departments on various projects.
  • Undertake all aspects of project planning.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited university with six years' experience.
Certifications and Licenses
  • Class 5 BC driver's license.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a valued asset.
  • MMCD Contract Administration certification is a valued asset.
