- Oversee the work of multi-disciplinary consultants and contractors.
- Develop and implement corporate policies related to technical services.
- Liaise with Public Works on technical issues.
- Manage and coordinate engineering projects.
- Acquire goods and services in accordance with Municipal purchasing policies.
- Review and approve contract and tender documents.
- Supervise capital works projects.
- Coordinate with utility companies and regulatory authorities.
- Assist in preparing and revising the Municipal Asset Management Plan.
- Review and recommend approval for designs and construction of projects.
- Collaborate with other departments on various projects.
- Undertake all aspects of project planning.
- Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited university with six years' experience.
- Class 5 BC driver's license.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a valued asset.
- MMCD Contract Administration certification is a valued asset.
