About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Home Support Worker to join our team at Spectrum Health Care. As a Home Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients in their own homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and toileting.
- Assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping duties, such as washing dishes and taking out the garbage.
- Provide respite care for clients while their primary caregivers are out of the home.
- Maintain awareness of clients' abilities, current diagnoses, and special needs.
- Travel within assigned regions to provide care and support to clients.
Qualifications
- Supportive Care Worker Certificate, Health Care Aide Certificate, or completion of Term 1 of a PSW program.
- Valid Vulnerable Sector Police Check and TB Test (within 6 months) as a condition of employment.
- Current CPR and First Aid Certificate.
- Effective English communication skills, written and verbal.
- Ability to interact with others in a caring, tactful, and courteous manner.
