About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor to join our team at Preferential Tax Services Inc. As an Accounting Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and submit financial reports to management and stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Team Management: Supervise a team of accounting staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and effective financial operations.
  • Technical Advice: Provide technical advice and guidance to staff on financial matters, including financial analysis and reporting.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Access, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word, as well as QuickBooks.
Work Environment

This is a permanent, full-time position working 35 hours per week in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be able to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Language and Work Term

The primary language of work is English, and the work term is permanent.
