Job Title: Child Care Worker Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Child Care Worker Assistant to join our team at Children's Circle Montessori School.

Job Summary:

The Child Care Worker Assistant will provide support to our early childhood educators in creating a nurturing and engaging environment for our young students. This role involves assisting with daily routines, planning activities, and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our children.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist early childhood educators in planning and implementing child-care programs that promote physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
  • Support daily routines such as bathing, diapering, and feeding infants and toddlers.
  • Engage children in activities such as storytelling, singing, and crafts.
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and report to early childhood educators or supervisors.
  • Assist with maintaining a safe and healthy environment, including preparing snacks and arranging rooms or furniture.
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a child care setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, oral communication, and flexibility.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and establish collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers.
Work Environment:

This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week in an urban area. The work environment is physically demanding and requires a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
