Job Title: Child Welfare Worker

Join our team at Chezranti Community Centre Ltd as a Child Welfare Worker, where you will play a vital role in supporting vulnerable children and families.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Child Welfare Worker to join our team. As a Child Welfare Worker, you will be responsible for providing support and guidance to children and families in need, while also working closely with other social services agencies and healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and address the needs of children and families, developing and implementing individualized support plans.
  • Provide counseling and therapy services to children and families, promoting healthy relationships and coping strategies.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure comprehensive support and services are provided to children and families.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community resources and services to support children and families.
  • Conduct home visits and assessments to identify needs and develop support plans.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support to children and families in crisis.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of client interactions and support plans.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Social Work or related field.
  • Experience working with children and families in a social services setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and crisis management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Work Conditions:

This is a permanent, full-time position with a 30-44 hour workweek. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and may be required to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Language:

English is the primary language of communication for this position.
