Job Title: Child Welfare Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child Welfare Worker to join our team at Chezranti Community Centre Ltd. As a key member of our social services team, you will play a vital role in supporting vulnerable children and families in our community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative and office support to ensure the smooth operation of our social services programs.
  • Assess clients' needs and eligibility for specific services, and develop tailored rehabilitation programs to meet their unique requirements.
  • Implement life skills workshops and conduct follow-up assessments to monitor progress and provide ongoing support.
  • Provide crisis intervention and suicide prevention services, as well as conflict resolution and mediation support.
  • Supervise activities of clients living in group homes and half-way houses, and ensure their safety during visits with parents.
  • Develop and implement substance abuse treatment programs, behaviour management programs, and other specialized services to support clients' recovery and well-being.
  • Conduct individual and group counselling sessions to address clients' emotional and psychological needs.
  • Liaise with other social services agencies and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive support for clients.
  • Develop service intervention logic models and outcome measures to evaluate the effectiveness of our programs.
  • Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of treatment programs and make recommendations for improvement.
