Job Summary:

Arcadis is a leading environmental consultancy firm seeking an experienced Environmental Field Specialist to join our team in Canada. As an Environmental Field Specialist, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and executing environmental projects, including site assessments, risk assessments, and remediation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and execute environmental projects, including site assessments, risk assessments, and remediation projects.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections, monitoring and supervising drilling and/or remediation activities.
  • Prepare field notes, collect soil and groundwater samples, and write environmental reports.
  • Supervise contractors (drillers, daylighters, utility locators, etc.) and ensure compliance with provincial and federal regulatory frameworks.
  • Interpret environmental data, compare sample results to applicable guidelines and standards, and prepare reports documenting the results of investigation programs.

Requirements:

  • Technical Diploma or bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, earth sciences, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in soil, groundwater or vapour sampling, and overseeing drilling activities and subcontractor management.
  • Strong understanding of field protocols, including soil, groundwater, and vapour sampling.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and writing skills.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CTech or CET or eligibility for P.Eng. or P.Geo. considered an asset.
