Job Summary

This role requires a strong technical understanding of bindery work within the printing industry, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced print and mail production environment. The successful candidate will perform a variety of tasks, including operating complex bindery equipment and assisting with finishing large format jobs.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operate Pile Feed Floor Model Folder and Multi Station Floor Model Inserter equipment.
  • Perform all bindery functions, including coil punching, drilling, scoring, padding, and shrink wrapping.
  • Assist with finishing large format jobs, such as cutting rigid materials and posters.
  • Set up equipment according to job requirements, ensuring accuracy and quality standards.
  • Identify equipment malfunctions and notify team lead as needed.
  • Record labor time and material usage accurately.
  • Perform backup duties for mail courier drivers, requiring a valid Full G License.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Post-secondary diploma.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Multi Station inserter operator floor model and Pile Feed Floor Model Folder Operator.
  • Well-versed in operating inserting and folding equipment.
  • Ability to operate small bindery equipment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Excel, Streetsweeper, and Rembrandt software is an asset.
  • Computer proficiency to maintain records.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs and perform manual physical labor.
  • Valid Full G License.
