Bindery Machine Operator

Bridge Atlas Solutions Inc is seeking a skilled Bindery Operator to join their team in Mississauga. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating various finishing equipment, ensuring smooth operations and delivering high-quality output.
Key Responsibilities:- Accurately follow job dockets to ensure all job details are adhered to.
- Conduct regular maintenance and inspections of bindery machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of materials, reporting any shortages promptly.
- Ensure all required approvals are obtained before initiating or continuing production.
- Adhere to the production schedule to meet established deadlines.
- Promptly report significant machine issues to minimize downtime.
- Inspect and verify the quality of all finished products to maintain high standards.
- Follow all safety protocols and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Keep detailed and accurate records of production runs and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and maintain clear communication with supervisors.
- Previous experience operating bindery machines within a printing or packaging environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot machinery.
- Keen attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to read and interpret job specifications and blueprints.
- Good communication and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and other departments.
