Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Child Care Professional to join our team at Mahogany Scholars Preschool. As an Early Childhood Educator Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of our young students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist early childhood educators in planning and implementing programs that promote the development of children
  • Support the maintenance of accurate records and documentation
  • Engage children in activities that foster learning and development, such as storytelling, singing, and crafts
  • Guide children in the development of essential life skills, including eating, dressing, and toilet habits
  • Prepare snacks and arrange the environment to ensure a safe and healthy space for children
  • Submit written observations and reports to early childhood educators or supervisors
  • Participate in staff meetings to discuss progress and challenges
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience in child care or a related field is an asset
  • Certifications in child development and first aid are preferred
Work Environment

Our preschool is a child-centered environment that values the well-being and development of each child. As a member of our team, you will work in a physically demanding role that requires a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. You will also be required to bend, crouch, and kneel to ensure the safety and comfort of our students.

Language and Work Schedule

We are a bilingual preschool, and we welcome applicants who are fluent in English. The successful candidate will work a regular schedule of 30-40 hours per week, with opportunities for overtime as needed.
