About the Job

Villaguer Construction Ltd is seeking a skilled Drywall Taper to join our team. As a Drywall Taper, you will be responsible for installing and finishing drywall in commercial and residential construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Measure, cut, and install drywall sheets to ensure a smooth and even finish.
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry.
  • Install metal stud framing and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings.
  • Install vapour barriers and thermal and sound insulation.
  • Prepare wall and ceiling layouts.
  • Utilize laser alignment system.
Work Environment

As a Drywall Taper, you will work on various construction sites, including commercial and residential projects. You will be required to work at heights, in dusty environments, and in a physically demanding role.

Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in drywall installation and finishing.
  • Excellent oral communication skills.
  • Dependability and reliability.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
