We are seeking a skilled Head Chef to join our team at Junction- Indian Street food restaurant.

About the Job

This is a permanent full-time position working 35 to 40 hours per week. The successful candidate will be available for shift or on-call work and must be legally able to work in Canada.

Job Description

The Head Chef will oversee all kitchen operations, preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, including special meals for patients as instructed by dietitians or chefs. The ideal candidate will have experience in fast-paced environments and be physically demanding tasks.

In this role, you will also train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, ensuring that high standards of quality and safety are maintained. Additionally, you will clean the kitchen and work areas to maintain a hygienic environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required; however, relevant culinary training would be an asset.
  • Experience: A minimum of 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role is necessary.

The Head Chef must possess excellent attention to detail, be organized, reliable, and a team player with strong initiative and judgment skills. They should also be willing to relocate for this position if needed.
