This is an exciting opportunity to join the pioneering team at RideCo, a leading player in the transportation technology industry. As a Business Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in shaping the transformation of public transit from static, scheduled fixed-routes to a dynamic on-demand network.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Management: Collaborate with clients to plan and launch projects, ensuring timely delivery and exceeding client expectations.
  • Transportation Services Implementation: Work with project managers, solutions engineers, and client stakeholders to develop and implement transportation solutions that meet client needs.
  • Data Analysis and Performance Reporting: Perform ad-hoc data analysis tasks to compare service performance against goals, evaluate trends, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Simulation and Optimization: Run simulations to analyze performance and operational KPIs, and iterate on the service model to optimize dozens of parameters.
  • Technical Support: Provide ongoing technical systems and analytics support to operations managers, advising them on using the system's dashboards and interpreting data.
  • Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with the client and operations managers to develop weekly/monthly actions to drive continuous improvements and achieve service objectives.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education: Undergraduate degree in Management Engineering / Applied Mathematics / Statistics / Finance / Business / Planning, or related discipline
  • Experience: 1 to 5 years of experience in data analysis and project management
  • Data Wizard: Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office, with experience working with business intelligence tools such as Tableau
  • Top-Notch Communicator: Strong written/oral communication and presentation skills, with experience preparing reports and presentations for senior management
  • Teamwork: Constant collaboration within the technical services team and cross-functionally with product team, data engineering, sales, and marketing team
  • Location: Based in Waterloo, Ontario
  • Willing to Travel: Approximately 15%, as needed, with a valid Passport/US B1B2 Visa required
