About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Underground Infrastructure Inspector to join our team at FNX-INNOV. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our underground infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the client's technical and administrative guidelines.
  • Monitor and oversee underground infrastructure construction projects to ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Develop and implement quality control programs to ensure that all projects meet the required standards.
  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of project plans, specifications, and drawings.
  • Review and comment on contractor quality plans to ensure they meet the required standards.
  • Ensure that all quality, safety, and environmental procedures are followed and implemented.
  • Prepare and maintain quality, environmental, health, and safety documentation.
  • Participate in the preparation and submission of project reports, including progress reports, quality reports, and safety reports.
  • Identify and report any non-conformities or defects in the work.
  • Ensure that all work is completed to the required standards and that the project is delivered on time.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience/education.
  • Experience in quality control and assurance in the construction industry.
  • Valid driver's license and vehicle (class 5).
  • Ability to work outdoors and in confined underground spaces.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in software applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French.
  • Valid ASP construction card.
  • Experience with Hydro-Québec training programs (an asset).
  • Knowledge of MCT, retro chantier, and smart use (an asset).
  • Dynamic, autonomous, and organized individual.
