Civil and Infrastructure Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil and Infrastructure Design Engineer to join our team at BBA Consultants. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in designing and delivering infrastructure projects for the heavy industry sector.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop civil and utilities drawings for heavy industry projects, including roads, underground services, drainage systems, and earthworks.
- Participate in the development of feasibility studies, technical reports, and construction plans and specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize site layouts and select preferred design options.
- Prepare estimates, bills of quantities, schedules, budgets, and specifications for civil works.
- Plan, organize, and assess work to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Attend construction site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with design specifications.
- Establish and maintain key client relationships to identify business opportunities and develop new projects.
- Provide mentorship and coaching to junior engineers and designers to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Coordinate work with other civil engineers, technicians, and engineering disciplines to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Ensure quality control of the work of engineers and technicians to maintain high standards.
- Assess client satisfaction and maintain close relationships with clients and their representatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Member of a professional engineering association.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in designing infrastructure projects, including roads, underground utility networks, drainage systems, and earthworks.
- Proficiency in technical writing and knowledge of Civil3D.
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite.
- Available for short-term assignments at client offices or sites, as well as site visits.
- Proven track record of delivering projects of high technical quality and exceeding client expectations.
- Hands-on project experience in mine plant site and infrastructure design.
- Diverse portfolio of work experience in industrial and mining projects.
- Collaborative approach to finding innovative solutions to project needs.
- High-performing achiever who strives to deliver, can adapt to change, and rebound from setbacks.
- Excellent communication skills, able to express ideas and expectations clearly, active listener, open to suggestions and feedback.
