Marble Craftsman

We are seeking a skilled Marble Mechanic to join our team at Grand River Granite LTD. As a Marble Mechanic, you will be responsible for preparing, measuring, and marking surfaces to be covered with marble, as well as setting tiles in place and applying pressure to affix them to the base.

Our work environment is fast-paced and physically demanding, requiring the ability to handle heavy loads and work in a dusty environment. You will be working in a commercial, industrial, and residential setting, and will be required to work independently and as part of a team.

• Prepare, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered with marble
• Set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to the base
• Align and straighten tiles
• Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools
• Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles
• Install tile strips

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
• Ability to distinguish between colours
• Attention to detail
• Hand-eye co-ordination
• Large workload
• Overtime required
