Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Planning and Strategy Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis and modeling, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. This is a hybrid role that involves conducting complex financial analysis, developing key financial models, and supporting business initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive financial analysis in support of business unit and enterprise-wide initiatives
  • Generate solutions to complex financial issues, combining big-picture views with detailed analytics to deliver actionable insights
  • Evaluate the impact of external changes on the business unit and assigned department
  • Design, generate, and review complex financial models, act as finance point of contact for financial modeling related to organic and inorganic growth initiatives
  • Act as a trusted finance partner and subject matter expert on financial performance, prepare and deliver complex financial reports, analysis, and insights
  • Develop and streamline financial models and processes to support key decision-making

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 7 or more years of experience in financial performance, analytics, and financial modeling, preferably in a P&C Insurance area
  • OR High School Diploma or Equivalent and 9 or more years of experience in financial performance, analytics, and financial modeling, preferably in a P&C Insurance area
  • OR Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, including an Associate Degree with 7 or more years of experience in financial performance, analytics, and financial modeling, preferably in a P&C Insurance area
  • AND Experience in supporting M&A transactions
  • CFA, CPA, or MBA and knowledge of IFRS 17 accounting standards
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced knowledge of and experience with planning/forecasting processes & tools (e.g. SAP EPM/BPC, Oracle Hyperion, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

Commercial insurance industry experience

Compensation:

The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 CAD, depending on experience. We also offer a bonus structure based on individual and company performance.
