About the Role

Mafra Drywall & Plastering Inc. is seeking a skilled Plasterer to join our team. As a Plasterer, you will be responsible for applying, leveling, and smoothing coats of plaster to create a smooth and even surface.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Clean and prepare surfaces for plastering, ensuring they are free from dust, dirt, and other debris.
  • Plaster Application: Apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster to walls and ceilings, using a variety of techniques and tools.
  • Finishing Touches: Finish corners and angles, and create decorative designs in the finish coat, if required.
  • Material Mixing: Mix plaster ingredients to the desired consistency, ensuring the correct ratio of ingredients is used.
  • Panel Installation: Mould and install ornamental plaster panels, cornices, and trim, using a variety of techniques and tools.
  • Texture Application: Spray acoustic or texture materials over walls and ceilings, creating a smooth and even surface.
  • Exterior Finishing: Trowel or spray coats of stucco over exteriors of buildings, forming weatherproof surfaces.
Requirements
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the trade.
  • Permanent employment.
  • English as the primary language of work.
  • 30 to 44 hours of work per week.
