About the Role

Mafra Drywall & Plastering Inc. is seeking a skilled Plasterer to join our team. As a Plasterer, you will be responsible for applying, leveling, and smoothing coats of plaster to create smooth surfaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Clean and prepare surfaces for plastering, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
  • Plaster Application: Apply coats of plaster to walls and ceilings, using trowels or sprayers as needed.
  • Finishing Touches: Finish corners and angles, and create decorative designs in the finish coat, if required.
  • Material Mixing: Mix plaster ingredients to the desired consistency, ensuring a strong and durable finish.
  • Panel Installation: Mould and install ornamental plaster panels, cornices, and trim.
  • Texture Application: Spray acoustic or texture materials over walls and ceilings.
  • Exterior Finishing: Trowel or spray coats of stucco over exteriors of buildings to form weatherproof surfaces.
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on quality and attention to detail.
  • Language and Communication: Communicate effectively with colleagues and clients, with a strong understanding of English language.
  • Work Schedule: Work a regular schedule of 30-44 hours per week, with opportunities for overtime as needed.
