Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Development Officer, Major Gifts to join our team at Queen's University. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled fundraiser to make a significant impact in supporting the university's long-term financial objectives.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success in major gift fundraising, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies to support Queen's University's mission and goals.
  • Nurture and develop long-term relationships with key donors, businesses, corporations, and foundations.
  • Collaborate with other Development colleagues and senior university administrators to advance Queen's fundraising objectives.
  • Contribute to the development of Queen's fundraising strategy and provide input on related initiatives.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in major gift fundraising or a related field.
  • A proven track record of success in securing major gifts from individuals, businesses, corporations, and foundations.
  • Strong understanding of philanthropic trends and best practices in major gift fundraising.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
