Hatch is currently seeking a highly motivated Construction Manager with extensive experience in tunnel construction and project management to join our dynamic team. You will represent Hatch with major clients as well as business development opportunities for construction management pursuits. This is an exciting position that offers a collaborative environment with a team of world-class tunneling professionals.

Responsibilities:

- Represent clients and oversee the activities of the Resident Engineer, Project Engineers, Lead Inspectors, Construction Inspectors, Technical Specialists, and Administrative/Project personnel.
- Maintain ultimate responsibility for delivery of project quality, cost, schedule, and safety.
- Preparation of reports, specifications, plans, studies, and constructability reviews during design of projects.
- Monitor Contractor's work for compliance to schedule, budget, technical specifications, and legal requirements; resolve design and field construction problems.
- Review Contractor requests for change and assist in the preparation of contract change orders/modifications.
- Assessment of sub-surface conditions and proactively manage differing site conditions during execution.
- Oversee construction of tunnel and underground facilities using Drill & Blast, NATM, TBM, and segmentally lined tunnels.
- Coordinate several varied assignments simultaneously.
- Identify potential business development with existing clients and take on an active role in the proposal process.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor of Science Degree in Geotechnical, Structural Engineering or Construction Management from an accredited university.
- 15+ years of overall construction engineering experience.
- Experience working in a consulting engineering environment.
- Construction experience in various project delivery methods including design bid build, design-build, and other alternative delivery methods.
- Experience in managing large tunnel and underground projects during construction.
- Experience with construction of shaft support techniques in both soil and rock environments.
- Strong project management, documentation, and technical skills.
- Knowledge of tunnel engineering and construction terminology.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and multi-task.
- Highly motivated, hardworking, and enthusiastic team player.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a flexible attitude are a must.
- Capable of working independently and overseeing staff development.
- Commitment to and confirmed track record of safely delivering projects on time, under budget, and to the required quality.
- Proven track record of nurturing client relationships and leading major project pursuits.
- Certified Construction Manager (CCM) a plus, but not required.
