Job Title: Pharmacist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced pharmacist to join our team at the Northern Health Region.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for dispensing prescribed pharmaceuticals, maintaining stock of pharmaceutical supplies, and ensuring the quality of drug products during production.

Responsibilities
  • Dispense prescribed pharmaceuticals to customers or to other health care professionals
  • Order and maintain stock of pharmaceutical supplies
  • Check prescriptions for proper dosage
  • Maintain medication profiles of customers including registry of poisons and narcotic and controlled drugs
  • Control the quality of drug products during production to ensure that they meet standards of potency, purity, uniformity, stability and safety
  • Evaluate labelling, packaging and advertising of drug products
Credentials

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in pharmacy and be licensed by provincial or territorial authorities. Pharmacy Examining Boards of Canada Certification is also required.

Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a hospital or clinical pharmacy setting and be willing to relocate. On-site work is required, with no option for remote work.
