About the Role

INVISTA Canada's Specialty Intermediates manufacturing site in Ontario is seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Manager to lead our laboratory and quality teams. As a key member of our site leadership, you will foster a collaborative work environment that promotes open communication, swift issue resolution, and a high-performance culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the laboratory area, ensuring compliance with ISO, Process Safety Management (PSM), and Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) regulations.
  • Lead the Site Quality Team, including supervision, recruitment, and development of team members.
  • Drive quality system compliance at the Maitland site.
  • Develop a positive work setting with a strong culture of teamwork across all groups.
  • Ensure open reporting and prompt follow-up on employee concerns.
  • Collaborate with other leaders to ensure effective transitions between teams and shifts.
  • Develop direct reports' skills to identify root causes and resolve operating problems.
  • Set performance goals aligned with the company's Vision.

Requirements

  • Background in Chemistry, Chemical Sciences, or Laboratory Operations.
  • Experience working in a laboratory setting.
  • Leadership and supervisory experience.
  • Statistical data analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Application of safety and quality standards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • IT and laboratory software experience.
  • Maintenance of ISO programs and requirements.
  • Environmental and regulatory experience.
  • Degree or Diploma in a STEM-related discipline.
