Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Trades Assistant to join our team at GMR LANDSCAPING INC. As a Trades Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our construction projects by performing a variety of tasks, including loading and unloading materials, erecting scaffolding, and assisting in the alignment of pipes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials
  • Erect and dismantle scaffolding, ramps, and barricades
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
  • Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction
  • Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites
  • Level earth to fine grade specifications
  • Pave and rake asphalt
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
  • Manual dexterity and ability to handle heavy loads
  • Valid driver's license and own transportation
  • Steel-toed safety boots, hard hat, and safety glasses/goggles
