Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled trades labourer to join our team at GMR LANDSCAPING INC. As a construction trades assistant, you will be responsible for assisting in various construction tasks, including loading and unloading materials, erecting scaffolding, and operating heavy equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials
  • Erect and dismantle scaffolding, ramps, and barricades
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
  • Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction
  • Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites
  • Level earth to fine grade specifications
  • Pave and rake asphalt
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field
  • Valid driver's license
  • Own transportation
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads
Working Conditions

As a construction trades assistant, you will be working outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and humidity. You will also be working at heights, underground, and in confined spaces.
