About the Role:

As a highly skilled Application Development Manager at SSENSE, you will lead a growing team of Tech Leads and Software Developers to design, build, and maintain an Order Management System (OMS) that meets the needs of our business and customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Guide and develop high-performing application development teams from idea inception to delivery, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
  • Oversee the full software development lifecycle, ensuring alignment with business goals while managing timelines, resources, and budgets in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Provide expertise in the design and implementation of the OMS, enforcing best practices and quality standards throughout the development process.
  • Facilitate effective communication with business stakeholders to translate needs into technical requirements, ensuring coordination across development and operational teams.
  • Implement quality standards and processes, overseeing automated testing and deployment to ensure the OMS is robust, scalable, and secure.

Requirements:
  • Strong experience leading teams to deliver complex applications in Agile methodologies.
  • Strong experience in software development best practices, focusing on coding standards and code reviews, and in service-oriented architecture.
  • Experience working with order processing, inventory management, and fulfillment systems, including proficiency with third-party OMS software like Kibo, Sterling Commerce, Fabric, etc.
  • Knowledge of project management principles, experience with source control, build processes, and familiarity with relational/non-relational databases and web technologies.
  • Experience with AWS, Google Cloud or other PaaS based solutions, proficiency in various programming languages (PHP, Node.js, Java, ReactJS/React-Native, Objective-C, Swift).
