The Automotive Service Advisor plays a vital role in ensuring exceptional customer experiences at Canadian Tire Spruce Grove. As the link between our technicians and customers, this role requires strong communication and customer service skills to manage customer needs and expectations regarding auto service maintenance and repairs.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Deliver outstanding customer service, ensuring ongoing commitment to customer needs and satisfaction.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries, providing timely and effective communication.
- Understand customer requirements and provide comprehensive solutions.
- Contribute to improving the customer experience in our Service Centre.
- Address customer concerns and issues efficiently.
- Manage challenging situations professionally.
- Ensure seamless communication with customers during repairs or maintenance work.
Operations
- Collaborate with customers to complete and review repair orders.
- Estimate costs and time for service and repairs, ensuring accurate final invoices and timely vehicle delivery.
- Act as a liaison between customers and technicians, managing work order status.
- Schedule service and repair appointments.
- Operate computerized work order systems.
- Engage in ongoing learning and coaching to enhance skills and abilities.
- Share opportunities and suggestions with the Service Manager to drive profitability and sales growth.
- Comply with company, store, and department policies, as well as health and safety regulations.
- Perform other tasks as required.
Requirements
- Knowledge of market trends in the automotive service industry.
- Understanding of mechanical components of automobiles.
- Ability to work effectively with auto parts ordering systems and computerized work order systems.
- Basic math and keyboarding skills.
- Working knowledge of CoStar is an asset.
- Experience in a similar role at a Canadian Tire Auto Service Centre is considered an asset.
- Valid driver's license for the province of employment.
Work Environment
- Full-time position.
- Hourly wage: $17.00-$23.00.
- Benefits package includes dental care, extended health care, life insurance, on-site parking, profit sharing, store discount, and vision care.
- Schedule: 8-hour shifts, evening shifts, and weekends as needed.
- Education: Secondary School (preferred).
- Experience: Customer service experience (1 year preferred).
- Language: English (preferred).
- Work Location: In-person.
