Position Overview:

In the role of Project Execution Coordinator, you will report directly to the Rebuild Lead and will be tasked with overseeing site activities related to the haul truck assembly and rebuild initiative. This includes managing all contractors at the project site, ensuring that operations are conducted safely and efficiently, in alignment with our commitment to sustainable mining practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a proactive safety leader, ensuring adherence to safety and environmental protocols.
  • Monitor and report on project-related incidents, collaborating with the site EHS team to analyze incidents and derive lessons learned.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive execution plan and schedule for time-sensitive tasks impacting asset availability, providing daily updates to program leadership and site partners.
  • Identify and address project execution challenges promptly, escalating issues to the Project Lead as necessary.
  • Supervise multiple contractors and vendors, ensuring compliance with project scope and timelines.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks in accordance with the Quality Management Plan.
  • Oversee the management of parts, materials, and equipment at the construction site, in line with the execution plan.
  • Coordinate contractor efforts, schedules, and reporting.
  • Assist site personnel to facilitate effective work execution.
  • Perform daily loss tracking and barriers reporting to identify gaps and enhance future project planning.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required; preference for candidates with a trade certificate or relevant degree.
  • Proven experience in coordinating contractors and vendors within a large-scale industrial or mining setting.
  • Background in heavy industrial maintenance or fabrication environments.
  • Strong technical knowledge of mobile mining equipment.
  • Supervisory experience in mechanical/electrical roles or project execution is advantageous.
  • Trade experience with mobile mining equipment, especially haul trucks, is beneficial.
  • Mines Supervisor license is a plus.
  • Experience in project controls, particularly scheduling, is desirable.
  • A valid class 5 or equivalent driver's license is mandatory.
