Job Title: Full Time Shipper/Receiver

TEAMS Transport is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Full Time Shipper/Receiver to join our team in Winnipeg.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Count and inspect freight for damages, shortages, and other issues.
  • Strip trailers and stage freight in the warehouse for efficient loading and unloading.
  • Unload trailers according to established procedures to minimize damage and freight claims.
  • Move freight to company standards to prevent damage and optimize loading/unloading processes.
  • Monitor BOLs and shipping manifests to ensure accurate and timely processing.
  • Maintain a clean and organized dock and work area to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Operate a pallet jack and hand dolly as needed to move freight.
  • Practice all safety procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Perform other duties as required to meet company objectives and goals.
Requirements:
  • Forklift experience is required.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  • Initiative and pride in work to ensure high-quality results.
  • Problem-solving skills to address issues and optimize processes.
  • Flexibility to work alternating evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Ability to read, sort, and understand shipping manifests.
  • Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and lift up to 50lbs from shoulder to floor.
