Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team at the Royal Bank of Canada. As a key member of our Quality Engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications. Your expertise in test automation, quality assurance, and software testing will be instrumental in helping us deliver high-quality products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to ensure the quality and reliability of our software applications.
  • Design and implement automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and operations, to identify and prioritize testing needs.
  • Conduct thorough testing of software applications, including functional, performance, and security testing.
  • Identify and report defects, and work with development teams to resolve issues.
  • Develop and maintain test automation frameworks and tools to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and apply this knowledge to improve our testing processes and tools.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in quality assurance, software testing, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks, tools, and technologies, including Selenium, Appium, and TestNG.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and Scrum frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Experience with database technologies, including SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based technologies, including AWS and Azure.

Preferred Qualifications

  • QA-related certification, such as CSTE or CSQA.
  • Experience with mobile automation testing, including Appium and Perfecto.
  • Experience with performance testing, including load testing and stress testing.
  • Experience with accessibility testing, including WCAG and Section 508 compliance.
