Job Summary

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Registered Nurse to provide exceptional nursing care to our residents. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of our residents.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to residents in accordance with established policies, physician orders, and resident plans of care.
  • Ensure timely and accessible admissions, including comprehensive orientations to our home and services offered.
  • Ensure safe and timely transfers and discharges of residents.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of medication administration, treatment plans, and resident progress.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans that address resident needs and preferences.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science – Nursing (BScN), Bachelor of Nursing (BN), or equivalent.
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Effective, compassionate, and supportive interpersonal skills.
  • Respect for each resident's autonomy and dignity, awareness of their need for self-respect and privacy, and the right to share in decisions about their care.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and standards, including the Long Term Care Act, Program Standards for Long Term Care, and others influencing the operation of the Nursing Home.
  • Medical Clearance (including but not limited to TB tests).
  • Vulnerable Sector Police Check and/or Adult Abuse Registry Check.
  • Clear Criminal Record Check. All staff are required to provide proof of vaccination, adhere to COVID-19 prevention protocols, and wear a mask at all times.
Salary

The estimated salary for this role is between $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
