Job Description
The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial management activities of L2M National, including business planning, budget preparation, spending projections, forecasts, reporting, and financial controls. This individual will also manage complex funding relationships with multiple funding agencies and donors, including L2M member institutions, federal government, private donors, corporate partners, and not-for-profits. The Finance Manager will develop and implement financial models to support program planning and budget forecasting, as well as prepare and present reports to senior audiences.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, candidates must have an undergraduate degree in Accounting, Business, or Management, or a related technical field, plus at least five years of relevant experience in financial management. Proven financial management skills, knowledge of accounting principles, regulation, and logic of financial systems, and the ability to effectively manage sensitive/confidential information are essential. Strong collaboration, interpersonal, and communication (presentation, verbal, and written) skills are also required. Demonstrated leadership skills, excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, and proficiency with software applications such as MS Office, G-Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and the ability to learn new software quickly are necessary.
