Overview:

The Senior Financial Accountant position at Bluedrop Training & Simulation is responsible for managing the financial close process, project accounting, and government funding program claims preparation. The successful candidate will have strong technical accounting skills and experience with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Close Process: Complete the month-end financial close process, ensure timely preparation of management reports, and manage Accounts Receivable functions.
  2. Project Accounting: Assist with project accounting related to revenue and contribute to the preparation of government funding program claims.
  3. Financial Reporting: Prepare quarterly financial statements and reports in compliance with IFRS.
  4. Year-End Audit: Support the year-end audit process for financial statements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting.
  • Working towards a CPA designation.
  • Experience with professional accounting firms.
  • Strong technical accounting skills and IFRS knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
