About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Restaurant Supervisor to join our team at Sawmill Prime Rib & Steak House Grande Prairie. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our dining room and ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of our dining room staff, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a high level of service quality.
    • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Operations and Administration
    • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform inventory management and cost control decisions.
    • Prepare food order summaries for our chef to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
    • Supervise and check the assembly of trays to ensure that they are presented to our guests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure that our guests receive exceptional service, responding promptly to their needs and resolving any issues that may arise.
    • Work closely with our servers and bartenders to ensure that our guests have a memorable dining experience.
  • Performance Management
    • Monitor and evaluate the performance of our dining room staff, providing feedback and coaching to help them improve their skills and knowledge.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve staff productivity and efficiency.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a supervisory role in the food service industry.
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Proven leadership and team management skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
    • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform tasks that require bending, crouching, and kneeling.
