Job Title: Line Cook

We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team at The Bombay Grill, Fine Indian Cuisine. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Determine the size of food portions and costs
  • Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
  • Order supplies and equipment
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas
  • Manage kitchen operations
Work Environment:

Our kitchen is a fast-paced environment where you will be working under pressure to meet high standards of quality and presentation. You will be required to stand for extended periods and work in a physically demanding environment.

Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a kitchen environment
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Client focus, dependability, organized, and a team player
