Job Title: Plastic Bag Machine Operator

Gould's Packaging Industries lte is seeking a skilled Plastic Bag Machine Operator to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our plastic bag machines, ensuring high-quality products and efficient production processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and make minor adjustments to equipment to optimize production efficiency
  • Weigh resins, colorants, and other chemicals according to formulae to ensure accurate product composition
  • Monitor and inspect the quality of material produced to meet our high standards
  • Unload mixture into containers or conveyors for further processing
  • Pack items for shipping and distribution
  • Adjust calender rollers for production line changes
  • Set up and operate extruding machines to extrude plastic compound through a nozzle or die
  • Change dies on extruding machines according to production line changes
  • Organize and maintain inventory to ensure efficient production
  • Start up or shut down process equipment as needed
  • Report delays, mechanical problems, and accidents to ensure a safe working environment
Requirements:
  • Forklift Operator Certification
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with heavy loads and physically demanding tasks
  • Excellent oral communication skills and ability to work as a team player
  • Dependability, accuracy, and reliability in a production environment
