Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Construction Cost Estimator Lead to join our team at LED GIANT. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed estimates of labour and material costs.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare Estimates: Develop and present comprehensive cost estimates for various construction projects, including preparation of pre-qualification submissions and tender documents.
  • Project Management: Liaise with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure that all stakeholders are informed and up-to-date on project progress and costs.
  • Cost Monitoring: Set up and maintain effective cost monitoring and reporting systems to track project expenses and ensure compliance with budget requirements.
  • Communication: Provide regular updates to senior management and other stakeholders on project progress, costs, and any issues that may arise.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Education: A secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required, with additional education or certifications in construction or a related field being an asset.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience in construction estimating or a related field, with a strong understanding of construction methods and materials.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Compensation

The salary for this position is estimated to be between $55,000 and $75,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
