Thompson Rivers University (TRU) is seeking a visionary leader to serve as its next President & Vice Chancellor. Reporting to the Board of Governors, the successful candidate will be responsible for the overall strategic, academic, and operational leadership of the university.

About the Role

The President & Vice Chancellor will play a pivotal role in ensuring TRU continues to be a leader in higher education and a catalyst for community development and social change. This involves leading the university through the next phase of growth and innovation, ensuring continued excellence in teaching, research, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Foster a culture of academic excellence and inclusivity
  • Support the development of innovative programs and interdisciplinary initiatives
  • Strengthen TRU's position as a key community partner
  • Build strong relationships with government, industry, Indigenous communities, alumni, and other stakeholders
  • Ensure the effective management of TRU's resources, including financial, human, and physical assets
