Store Manager Job Description

Columbia Sportswear Company is seeking a highly skilled Store Manager to lead our retail store teams and drive business growth. As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the store, including managing store leaders and individual contributors, developing and executing strategies to drive sales and minimize inventory shrink, and maintaining high store standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop a high-performing store team to deliver exceptional customer experiences and drive sales growth.
  • Develop and execute strategies to drive sales, minimize inventory shrink, and manage operating expenses within budget.
  • Manage store operations, including inventory management, visual merchandising, and store maintenance.
  • Provide coaching and development opportunities to store leaders and individual contributors to help them achieve their career goals.
  • Collaborate with the Area/District Manager to provide market insights, product assortment needs, and employee successes and challenges.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree, or applicable certification or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years of functional experience, including experience managing store leaders and individual contributors.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve technical, operational, and organizational problems.
  • Ability to operate Inventory and Point of Sales (POS) systems, and various other retail software tools.
Working Conditions:
  • Frequently in a more active environment, requiring the ability to constantly move about and potentially lift items weighing up to 40 lbs.
  • Occasionally requires the ability to work in a place with exposure to dust and noise.
  • Ability to communicate with others and work a flexible retail schedule, which may change seasonally and in response to location-specific business trends or forecasts.

Salary Range: $58,400- $77,800
