Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team in Langley, BC. As a Quick Response Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and facilitating timely discharges from our acute care facilities to community-based services.
Responsibilities- Assess patient/client needs through various assessments, including home assessments, to identify areas for improvement and develop personalized care plans.
- Collaborate with community service providers to ensure seamless transitions and provide advice to patients/clients, families, and healthcare professionals regarding discharge needs.
- Prescribe and recommend adaptive aids and equipment to enhance patient/client independence and safety.
- Develop and maintain resource materials to support patient/client education and independence.
- Act as a patient/client advocate, providing information and liaison services with funding agencies and community resources.
- Participate in quality improvement activities, providing input into the development of indicators, standards, practices, and procedures.
- Current full registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC).
- Two (2) years' recent, related clinical experience in a community or home health setting.
- Valid BC Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for business-related purposes.
