Food Service Worker

As a Food Service Worker at Northumberland Hills Hospital, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of patient care. Your primary responsibilities will include portioning and serving food, picking up dirty trays, and delivering floor food supplies. You will also be responsible for washing dishes and pots, working with cash, and maintaining assigned areas clean and sanitary.
Key Responsibilities
- Portion and serve food to patients and staff
- Pick up dirty trays and deliver floor food supplies
- Wash dishes and pots

- Maintain assigned areas clean and sanitary
Requirements
- Successful completion of a Food Service Worker Certificate Program from an accredited college
- Food Handlers certificate
- Knowledge of WHMIS, CQI, and food safety
- Excellent customer service skills
- Able to work independently and as a member of a team
- Capable of learning new techniques, policies, and procedures
- Ability to maintain good attendance standards
- Above average manual dexterity and motor coordination
- Able to lift up to 25 Lbs
- Able to push food carts
- Ability to work with cleaning agents
- Walking and standing for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to work in a hot and humid environment
- Follows safe and healthy work practices and maintains a safe and healthy work environment
Employment Requirements
- Successful applicants are required to provide a satisfactory vulnerable sector criminal reference check
- Successful applicants are also required to complete the Health Care Worker Health review process
