Little Burgundy, a dynamic footwear retailer with its unique style for discerning tastes, is looking for an ambitious candidate to fill the role of Retail Store Manager. This position offers exciting opportunities for growth and development in a fast-paced retail environment.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, and managing store personnel to achieve sales goals and standards of performance. Key responsibilities include:

  • Meeting and exceeding store and personal sales goals and standards of performance;
  • Recruiting, interviewing, and hiring high-caliber employees with in-store needs;
  • Training and developing a successful sales team;
  • Providing feedback, coaching, and accountability to all employees by enforcing company policies and practices;
  • Ensuring that all company initiatives are properly implemented and aligned with company direction;
  • Communicating stock replenishment needs to District Sales Manager, Distribution, and Buying and Merchandising departments;
  • Conducting monthly performance reviews;
  • Recognizing talented staff and developing them for growth within the company;
  • Supervising and managing all aspects of daily store operations;
  • Supervising and managing all aspects of Loss Prevention practices;
  • Planning weekly staffing schedules in compliance with schedule policy;
  • Providing a fun, full-service experience to all customers;
  • Resolving customer issues effectively;
  • Understand the Little Burgundy culture and demonstrate it to the team.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates should have:

  • 1–2 years retail sales experience;
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills;
  • Desire to succeed in a fast-paced retail environment;
  • Bilingualism as required (Quebec only);
  • Willingness to learn;
  • Completion of all training programs leading up to Manager in Training position or equivalent training;
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week;
  • Ability to work night and weekend shifts;
  • Ability to climb, reach, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds;
  • Stand for long periods of time;
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Salary

The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
