Retail Store Operations Manager

About the RoleThis is a key leadership position responsible for assisting the Store Manager in achieving sales goals, controlling expenses, and protecting company assets. As an Assistant Store Manager, you'll play a vital role in recruiting, hiring, training, and managing store personnel, as well as overseeing daily store operations in the absence of the Store Manager.
Responsibilities- Sales Performance: Meet and exceed store and personal sales goals and standards of performance
- Talent Development: Assist in recruiting and hiring high-caliber employees with in-store needs, train and develop a successful sales team, and provide feedback, coaching, and accountability to all employees
- Store Operations: Ensure that all company initiatives are properly implemented and to the standard of the company direction, communicate stock replenishment needs to District Sales Manager, Distribution, and Buying and Merchandising departments, and supervise and manage all aspects of Loss Prevention practices
- Culture and Customer Experience: Recognize talented staff and develop them for growth within the company, provide a fun, full-service experience to all customers, and understand the Little Burgundy culture and demonstrate it to the team
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Retail Environment: Desire to succeed in fast-paced retail environment
- Language: Bilingualism as required (Quebec only)
- Training and Development: Willingness to learn, completion of all training programs leading up to Co-Manager position or equivalent training
- Availability: Ability to work 40 hours per week, night and weekend shifts, climb, reach, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods of time, and be at least 18 years of age*
- Compensation: Estimated salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year, including base pay, sales commission, and bonus potential
- Benefits: Excellent benefits package, including medical, vision, and dental insurance, vacation package, and community service hours
