We are seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our team at RhynoCare in the Hamilton area.
Job SummaryThis is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate RPN to provide high-quality nursing care to our residents. As an RPN, you will be responsible for delivering excellent patient care, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team, and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.
Responsibilities- Provide nursing care to residents in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and the resident plan of care.
- Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure the delivery of excellent nursing and personal care in the assigned home area(s).
- Ensure timely and accessible admissions, comprehensive orientations, and safe resident transfers and discharges.
- Manage the supply, control, and safekeeping of drugs and narcotics, adhering to protocols on all assigned shifts.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of residents.
- Bachelor of Science – Nursing (BScN), Bachelor of Nursing (BN), or equivalent.
- Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse with the College of Nurses.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and standards influencing the operation of the nursing home and nursing department.
- Medical Clearance, including TB tests.
- Vulnerable Sector Police Check and/or Adult Abuse Registry Check.
- Clear Criminal Record check.
All staff are required to provide proof of vaccination, adhere to COVID-19 prevention protocols, and wear a mask at all times.
