Job Description

Borea Construction is a leading company in the fields of wind and solar energy, with over 75 projects to its credit and a strong presence in North America.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and advise management and internal teams on commercial and contractual matters, compliance, and dispute prevention.
  • Review, draft, negotiate, and interpret various contracts and commercial documents related to construction projects.
  • Develop and update contract models and tools to facilitate contract management and understanding by internal teams.
  • Provide daily legal advice on business operations, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Manage litigation and dispute resolution using a proactive and practical approach.
  • Manage project structuring and provide training to internal teams.
  • Perform other tasks related to the position of senior legal counsel.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Laws and membership in a Canadian bar association.
  • 4+ years of experience in construction and/or business law, particularly in drafting and negotiating contracts.
  • Excellent command of English and French, both written and oral, as well as good communication and popularization skills.
  • Adaptability and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of the renewable energy, engineering, and construction industry.
Salary

The estimated salary for this position is around $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
