SickKids is seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Surgeon to join our team in providing exceptional care to patients. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in pediatric surgery, with a strong background in thoracic surgery.

About the Role:

This is a permanent position working 35 hours per week at our hospital location. The successful candidate will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care, while also contributing to research and education initiatives.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct medical research on human disorders and illnesses
  • Prepare research papers for publication and presentation
  • Study the nature, cause, and development of diseases
  • Act as consultants to other physicians
  • Order laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures
Requirements:
  • Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry
  • Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities
  • Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Certification Examination
  • Specialization in pediatrics and thoracic surgery
Salary and Benefits:

We offer an estimated salary range of $250,000 - $350,000 per year, based on your level of experience and qualifications. Our comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a generous pension plan and paid time off.

Work Environment:

You will be working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, and will need to demonstrate excellent time management skills and attention to detail. You will also need to be able to stand for extended periods and walk frequently.
